Chicago, IL – Fatal Accident Shuts Down I-55 at LaGrange Road
Chicago, IL (November 15, 2024) – A tragic crash on the Stevenson Expressway early Thursday morning, November 14, claimed one life, according to the Illinois State Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash occurred around 12:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 55 near LaGrange Road. Illinois State Police reported that at least two vehicles were involved, resulting in serious injuries. Three individuals were transported to local hospitals, and one person tragically succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
Authorities are urging witnesses with additional information about the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.
